Sagamihara International Lounge offers Japanese language classes where foreign citizens can learn Japanese and non-Japanese can enjoy the services of interpretation, translation and consultation. Also we provide opportunities that citizens can experience diverse cultures around the world through the events we hold. Please feel free to call or visit us.

High School Admission Guidance for Non-native Japanese Speakers 2018 in Kanagawa (organized by ME-net Kanagawa; sponsored by Sagamihara International Lounge)

Date & Time: October 14th (Sun) 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

There will be an academic and career counseling for junior high school students who are going to go on to high school, and their guardians. High school students will give stories of their experience. We look forward to your visit.

"SAGA-PRO 2020" Canadian Course "Canadian Cooking class -Streusel Coffee Cake-" (organized by: Sagamihara city's Promotion of Internationalization committee)

We will make streusel coffee cake which is essential for cafeteria in Canada, with Canadian lecturer.

Introductory course of "Chinese" (organized by Interpretation and Translation Group)

You can enjoy communicating with native speakers.
This event is for people who are interested in the Chinese language or taking part in volunteer activities.

Free Consultation & Tuberculosis Examination for Foreign Residents 2018 (Sagamihara International management organization)

Date & Time: October 21st (Sun) 1 p.m.-4 p.m.      
Venue: Lounge conference room on the first floor of the Promity Fuchinobe Building (Sagamihara International Lounge)

This is free of charge and is under the seal of secrecy. Interpreters are available, so please feel free to visit for a consultation. It’s an opportunity to get legal advice, consultation on health, life, education, labor, welfare and so on.  There is no public on-site parking.
① Lawyers, certified notaries, social workers, teachers, hygienists and nurses who are experts on issues regarding foreign residents, will be available for the consultation.
② “Let’s stop tuberculosis!” A tuberculosis examination vehicle will be prepared in front of the Lounge. Please feel free to visit us with your family and friends. We're eager to help however we can!

The society of practicing and training for Interpretation "Education" (organized by Interpretation and Translation Group)

We will learn about how to interpret in the field of education, like parent-teacher conference, and do a role-play according to the situation.

We are going to exchange ideas with French and Vietnamese lecturer by cooking their food.
You need to bring an apron, triangular bandage and dish towel.

Unicom Plaza Sagamihara on the third floor of bono South Mall (on the third floor of Bono Sagamiono South Mall)

A member of the Canadian international exchange will give a presentation about the Canadian masterwork: "Anne of Green Gables", its author and the historical background surrounding the time of the books creation. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for everyone to discuss and exchange ideas in a relaxed environment. Tea and snacks will be served.

A word from foreign residents about the city’s administrative service. (Foreign Residents Conference Group)

Date & Time: November 18th (Sun) 1 p.m. -3 p.m.    
Venue: conference room F on the second floor of the Promity Fuchinobe Building. (Sagamihara International Lounge)

In ten years, the population of foreign residents will account for 5% of Sagamihara city’s population. Therefore, we will need to ascertain in what ways Sagamihara city’s administrative service, will need to change for the future. We are hoping that many people will give their opinions at the meeting. At the same time, we are planning to increase our understanding of these necessary changes by listening to the opinions and ideas of foreign residents.
